Jim Glaub, creative director of interactive at theatrical advertising agency Serino/Coyne, says the #Ham4Ham show and resulting social media exchanges create great content. “It’s a special moment that you can never see again—but you can, because it’s documented on people’s iPhones and on Snapchat and other platforms.” Also, says Angelo Desimini, chief executive officer of Serino/Coyne, #Ham4Ham “is authentic to who Miranda is and the themes of the show,” and authenticity is the most important part of any marketing effort.

Producers of tonight’s Tony Awards ceremony will offer live streaming coverage of all the action on the red carpet outside Radio City Music Hall, starting at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET.
The special, a first in the 69-year history of the awards, will be hosted by Darren Criss and two-time Tony nominee Laura Osnes. “Star Trek’s” George Takei will serve as the live stream’s official fan correspondent, with Randi Zuckerberg as tech/social correspondent, Blake Ross as theater correspondent and Emilio Sosa as the fashion correspondent.

For some unexplained reason, Jim & Dylan’s mailbox at their apartment on 22nd Street in Chelsea started to get stuffed with “Dear Santa” letters from chirruns asking for a present or two this Christmas. Jim & Dylan’s heads were filled with questions marks, because they had no idea how this happened. Instead of taking a red Sharpie to every letter and writing “Return to Sender: Santa doesn’t live here anymore. Signed, THE GRINCH” in big letters, Jim & Dylan tried to fulfill all wishes with the help of their co-workers and strangers.

Last year, Art Meets Commerce introduced a Facebook ad campaign to promote an Off Broadway run of the musical “Fela!” The campaign aimed at Facebook users with interests like theatrical shows or Afro beat. According to the company, it generated 18 million impressions, more than 5,700 clicks and $40,000 in ticket sales — all for $4,400 spent on advertising.

Glaub says, "People leave the show and jump onto Twitter to tell their friends how much they liked the show. It's been especially helpful when people with large followings tweet about it, increasing our followers and exposing the show to people that may not have heard of it."

Jim Glaub, whose Web marketing firm Art Meets Commerce reps clients including the Finn revue, says: “Even if viewers aren’t immediately buying tickets, they’re getting a raised awareness of the show. It’s a greater amount of impressions, and in marketing, that’s everything.”

Glaub's job is to explain how it all works, talk about the making of the film and point out such glitches as the visible string that holds the Cowardly Lion's tail and how the length of Dorothy's hair changes during her first scene with the Scarecrow.
